Amazing toccata performance. Live too. It’s very hard to play at tempo I think Ravel wrote 144 and that is probably too fast but it still should be very brisk and this is at the high end of what I’ve heard and this was fantastic!

Recordings of the orchestral version are easy to find, but the original piano version has very few options in spite of the attention it deserves, as this marvelous performance shows beyond all doubt.

I hear not just a man at the piano, but the sound of bells, a harp, an organ and even a subdued brass section! The Menuet, long my favorite from the entire suite, was especially wonderful in Luca's delivery. Such a treat to start my day. [@prototropo]
